Bankruptcy Court ordered auction of five contiguous parcels totaling more than 60 acres in Suffolk, VA. The location of the properties made for an excellent multi-par auction, which allows bidding on combinations of parcels. Before the multi-par phase, the total amount bid was $260,000. At the end of bidding, the total amount bid was $349,000, a 22% increase for the seller. One of the neighbors bought the farmland, and the neighbor on the other side bought the parcel with the house. Both buyers and the seller were very satisfied with the outcome.
