Tranzon Auction Properties is offering a 168-acre commercial greenhouse campus at 347 Lisbon St. in Lisbon, Maine, at a lender-ordered auction at 11 a.m. ET Friday, Oct. 23, 2026.
Remote bidding is available and must be arranged well in advance.
The property was formerly Springworks Farm, a greenhouse-grown lettuce producer founded in 2014 with a 6,000-square-foot greenhouse, with facilities totaling over 170,000 square feet after four phases of construction.
The company had previously planned to expand to 700,000 square feet in the near term on its 170-acre site, according to its website.
Springworks said it grew 5 million heads of lettuce and 160 metric tonnes of tilapia a year; it used the organic fertilizer from its aquaculture systems to grow year-round while reducing the inputs needed for production.
The campus includes approximately 117,000 square feet of greenhouse growing space and approximately 56,000 square feet of attached headhouse buildings used for propagation, packing, cold storage and offices. A farmhouse and support buildings round out the property.
The newest and largest structure, built in 2024, is a 73,600-square-foot European-design glass greenhouse with a 24-foot eave height, two gas-fired boilers supplying both heat and CO2, and a standby generator.
"Somebody is going to do very well here," said Mike Carey, co-CEO of Tranzon Auction Properties. "The glass is up, the boilers are in, the packing line is there and none of that has to be permitted, financed or built. A buyer who knows what a greenhouse costs to put in the ground today will understand the opportunity the minute they walk the property."

The property also offers opportunities for buyers who are not growers. The four headhouse buildings are steel-frame structures on frost-wall foundations with concrete floors and climate control, ranging from 1,900 square feet up to 33,000 square feet. They were built between 2014 and 2024 and function as conditioned production, packing, cold storage and office space independent of the growing operation.
"Strip out the growing use, and you are looking at 56,000 square feet of climate-controlled industrial buildings on 168 acres with municipal utilities and frontage on a state highway," Carey said. "That is a hard combination to assemble in this market at any price."
Private showings are available to qualified buyers with 24 hours' notice. The property information package, including zoning information, surveys, the terms and sonditions of sale, and the purchase and sale agreement, is available at Tranzon.com/AP26066.
