What a privilege it is to offer this stunning historic enclave for sale! Drive through the gates of this estate home in the Suffolk Historic District, and forget you are in an urban location!

This "cottage" was built in 1922 by Colonel John Beauregard Pinner, Esq. for his son and daughter in law. Col. Pinner was Founder and President of the Suffolk Peanut Company and a vocal advocate for the peanut industry; google him and you can read papers of his appearance before the Senate Finance Committee pleading for higher tarriffs on peanut imports from China; he was a member of the Virginia State Committee of the YMCA, and aligned with the Mayor of Suffolk in 1886 in a request for funding for the river to sustain and enable commerce in Suffolk.

The "cottage" stands next door to his larger, more impressive home on the corner, today occupied by a professional photographer and his family, with studio and showroom on the main level. With an owner/occupied home and professional photography studio next door, uses for this property are limited only by your imagination (and the District's endorsement, of course.) The restored carriage house allows for a separate workplace. An owner-occupied law office, insurance, therapy or other professional services, artist's studio and showroom, bed & breakfast, family home, Air BNB, wedding planner and venue could all be options - the bidders will decide.

The current owners have lived here since 1982 and raised 3 children in this home. This home was on the 2006 Historic Garden Tour, and various Suffolk Historic Christmas tours.

NOTE: Seller financing is available, with 25% down, 30 yr amortization, 5% APR and 3 year balloon.
