RICHMOND, VA. -- Bill Londrey of Richmond recently was elected President of the Business Finance and Turnaround Association (BFTA). Based in Richmond, the organization's members are engaged in the lending industry and in solving challenges related to distressed business loans. BFTA members work in a variety of fields, including real estate, finance, accounting and the law.

Londrey is an Executive Vice President and Partner with Tranzon Fox, a member company of Tranzon L.L.C. whose member companies operate real estate auction firms throughout the U.S. Londrey is based in Richmond, and Tranzon Fox covers an area including the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Londrey also is a member of Tranzon's Executive Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of Tranzon Fox.

A graduate of Washington and Lee University, Londrey concentrates primarily on commercial real estate and turnkey business auctions. He works closely with banking, legal and real estate communities throughout the United States. During his 15 years with Tranzon Fox, Londrey has managed some of the largest bankruptcy auctions in company history, including a $30 million retail center in West Virginia.

Besides serving as President of BFTA, Londrey's other professional affiliations include membership in the American Bankruptcy Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and the National Trust Real Estate Association. Londrey is a frequent and popular speaker on topics related to bankruptcies and turnarounds. Prior to becoming President of BFTA, Londrey served as the group's Vice President and Treasurer. He holds the Certified Auction Institute designation.
